ADRENALINE RUSH: The Science of Risk
Adrenaline Rush is a Swedish/Canadian produced IMAX® movie discussing the topic “why people take risks.” With the help of scientists, school children and skydivers, the film explores the physiological and psychological factors that control our minds when we expose ourselves to risks at school, on the stock market or when the skydiver hurls himself over the edge of a 4000 foot high cliff.
Adrenaline Rush was filmed using large format film, with breathtaking pictures shot in Florida, California, Canada and Norway. Some of the world’s most experienced skydivers and BASE-jumpers participated jumping from airplanes, balloons and high cliffs. The film shows Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing of a parachute being put to reality when two skydivers build and test jump the parachute above the Mojave Desert in California.
