In 2012, the Pittsburgh Regional Science and Engineering Fair (PRSEF) will celebrate its 73rd year of open competition of research
projects in the fields of science, mathematics and engineering on March 30 (competition day) and March 31 (awards ceremony) at Heinz Field.
This competition is open to all students in grades 6-12 from 23 counties in Western Pennsylvania and three
counties in West Virginia.
Get Involved! The Intel ISEF is coming to Pittsburgh May 13-18, 2012. More than 500 volunteers and 900 judges are needed. To register, visit Volunteer for Intel ISEF Pittsburgh.
Student Registration - January 13, 2012 except those require pre-approval and schools with school science fairs.
Pre-approval Projects: Human subjects, non-human vertebrate animals, potentially hazardous biological agents and hazardous chemicals, activities and devices must be submitted by November 30, 2011.
School Science Fairs: Must contact the PRSEF office at 412-237-1534 prior to January 1, 2012 to make special arrangements.
Deadlines to attend ISEF (9th - 12th grade only):
One copy of research paper and application February 10, 2012
One copy of research paper emailed February 10, 2012
Final paperwork submission to ISEF by winners - April 4, 2012
